The Fridge is a Perl and Javascript based application written by Dave Olszewski.

Unlike other similar variants of this concept, it works in many browsers including Mozilla, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Opera, Konqueror, Netscape 4.x (Windows) and others.

The position of the virtual magnets on the fridge are saved back to the server every time you place a magnet, so that everyone shares the same surface and can collaborate or share their creation with the world.

If you view it in a Mozilla based browser (such as Firefox), or a recent version of Microsoft Internet Explorer, it will update every time you drag a magnet by sending a XML-RPC (HTTP) request using javascript to the server and dynamically updating your fridge without reloading the entire page, to reflect what you, and any others may have moved. If you have this capability, the fridge will also update itself every 30 seconds, even if you did not move any magnets.

If you use another browser, it should reload the page when you drop a magnet also reflecting the new position of that magnet, and any others that anyone may have moved recently. This mode does not update itself at the current time, and requires you to move a magnet or hit "Refresh the fridge" to update it.

This application was originally designed and written for GFD. Please do not visit this site if you are under 18, or easily offended, as it contains profanity and uncensored ranting. I fully believe in the power of free speech and this is reflected in GFD.
